VENDOR RULES & POLICIES

The Houston Flea Market operates year-round and is typically held every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, unless otherwise announced by market management. No refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduled dates will be allowed.

~Market Hours

Market hours are 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Check-In & Setup Time is between 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. Vendors must arrive early enough to complete setup before 12:00 P.M. VENDORS ARRIVING AFTER 12PM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SETUP.

Vendors are expected to remain open and operating for the full duration of the market. Early breakdown, early departure, or late arrival disrupts the market environment and may not be permitted unless approved by market management.

Vendors who reserve a booth are expected to attend the market on their reserved date(s). The market operates every weekend, year-round, rain or shine, unless otherwise announced by market management.

For safety reasons, vendors may not begin packing, loading vehicles, or breaking down displays while the market is open to the public unless approved by the market coordinator.

~Honest Representation of Products

All vendors must represent their products, services, and their origin honestly in both written descriptions and verbal communication with customers.

Vendors may not intentionally misrepresent products, make false claims, or engage in deceptive sales practices.

~Vendor Conduct

All vendors must conduct themselves in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner toward customers, fellow vendors, and market staff.

Creating drama, conflict, harassment, intimidation, hostile interactions, excessive complaints, gossip, verbal abuse, threatening behavior, or any conduct that negatively impacts the market atmosphere is prohibited.

Vendors are expected to contribute to a safe, welcoming, family-friendly, and professional environment for all participants.

Any behavior deemed disruptive, hostile, unprofessional, unsafe, or harmful to the operation, reputation, customer experience, or vendor experience of the market may result in warnings, removal, suspension, or a permanent ban from future participation.

No refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduled dates will be provided to vendors removed for conduct violations.

~Cleanliness and Trash

Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized booth area at all times.

Vendors must remove all personal trash, packaging, boxes, food waste, and materials from the premises before leaving.

Booth spaces must be left in the same condition in which they were received.

Failure to properly clean a booth area may result in future participation restrictions.

~Weather Policy

Markets operate rain or shine.

No refunds, credits, transfers, rain checks, or rescheduled dates will be issued due to weather conditions.

Vendors are expected to attend the market when they have a confirmed reservation.

In the event the market is operating and unsafe weather conditions suddenly develop, market management may suspend or terminate market operations for safety reasons. Vendors will be notified and instructed to cease operations and pack up immediately.

If market operations are delayed, interrupted, shortened, suspended, or terminated due to weather, natural events, safety concerns, emergencies, or circumstances beyond the control of market management, no full or partial refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduled dates will be issued.

~Vendor Acceptance

Acceptance into the market is at the sole discretion of market management.

Market organizers reserve the right to approve or deny vendor participation based on market needs, operational considerations, safety concerns, product mix, available space, and overall market objectives.

The Houston Flea Market does not guarantee vendor exclusivity.

Multiple vendors offering similar or identical products, services, food items, beverages, or merchandise may be approved and placed within the market at the discretion of management.

Market management reserves the right to accept any number of vendors within the same category and does not limit participation based on existing vendors selling similar products.

Participation in the market does not grant exclusive rights to any product category, service, or business type.

~Market Authority

Market management reserves the authority to issue warnings, relocate booths, refuse entry, suspend participation, or remove vendors who violate market rules, create safety concerns, create liability risks, negatively impact the market environment, or otherwise interfere with market operations.

Any vendor whose behavior, actions, products, services, employees, helpers, representatives, or business practices are determined to be harmful to the safety, reputation, operation, customer experience, vendor experience, or legal compliance of the market may be suspended, removed, or permanently banned at the discretion of market management.

No refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduled dates will be issued under these circumstances.

Market management reserves the right to interpret, modify, and enforce market rules as necessary to maintain the safe and successful operation of the market.

~Vendor Responsibility

Vendors are responsible for informing all employees, helpers, agents, representatives, family members, and anyone operating within their booth of all market rules and policies.

The vendor of record is responsible for ensuring compliance by all individuals associated with their booth.

Tent vendors are required to properly secure all tents with adequate weights at all times.

Vendors assume responsibility for any damage, injury, or liability arising from their booth, products, equipment, employees, helpers, or representatives.

~Sales and Attendance Disclaimer

The Houston Flea Market does not guarantee sales, profits, customer traffic, attendance levels, weather conditions, vendor success, or business results.

Vendor fees secure space only.

Participation fees are non-refundable and are not based on actual sales performance, customer turnout, weather conditions, or vendor expectations.

~Limpieza y Basura

Los vendedores son responsables de mantener su área de venta limpia y organizada en todo momento.

Los espacios de venta deben dejarse en las mismas condiciones en que fueron recibidos.

El incumplimiento de estas normas de limpieza puede resultar en restricciones para futuras participaciones.

~Política de Clima

Los mercados operan con lluvia o con sol.

No se otorgarán reembolsos, créditos, transferencias, cambios de fecha ni compensaciones debido a las condiciones climáticas.

Los vendedores deben asistir al mercado cuando tengan una reservación confirmada.

Si el mercado está operando y se presentan repentinamente condiciones climáticas inseguras, la administración podrá suspender o finalizar las operaciones del mercado por razones de seguridad. Los vendedores serán notificados y deberán cesar operaciones y empacar inmediatamente.

Si las operaciones del mercado son retrasadas, interrumpidas, reducidas, suspendidas o canceladas debido al clima, fenómenos naturales, emergencias, preocupaciones de seguridad o cualquier circunstancia fuera del control de la administración, no se otorgarán reembolsos totales o parciales, créditos, transferencias ni fechas de reemplazo.

Los organizadores se reservan el derecho de aprobar o rechazar la participación de vendedores según las necesidades del mercado, consideraciones operativas, preocupaciones de seguridad, variedad de productos, espacio disponible y objetivos generales del mercado.

Se podrán aprobar y ubicar múltiples vendedores que ofrezcan productos, servicios, alimentos, bebidas o mercancías similares o idénticas, según lo determine la administración.

La administración se reserva el derecho de aceptar cualquier cantidad de vendedores dentro de una misma categoría y no limita la participación basándose en la existencia de otros vendedores que ofrezcan productos similares.

La administración del mercado se reserva el derecho de emitir advertencias, reubicar puestos, negar la entrada, suspender la participación o retirar vendedores que violen las reglas del mercado, creen riesgos de seguridad, generen riesgos de responsabilidad, afecten negativamente el ambiente del mercado o interfieran con las operaciones del mismo.

Cualquier vendedor cuyos comportamientos, acciones, productos, servicios, empleados, ayudantes, representantes o prácticas comerciales sean considerados perjudiciales para la seguridad, reputación, operación, experiencia del cliente, experiencia de otros vendedores o cumplimiento legal del mercado podrá ser suspendido, retirado o permanentemente prohibido de participar, a discreción de la administración.

No se otorgarán reembolsos, créditos, transferencias ni cambios de fecha en estas circunstancias.

La administración del mercado se reserva el derecho de interpretar, modificar y hacer cumplir las reglas según sea necesario para mantener una operación segura y exitosa.

~Responsabilidad del Vendedor

Los vendedores son responsables de informar a todos sus empleados, ayudantes, agentes, representantes, familiares o cualquier persona que trabaje dentro de su puesto acerca de todas las reglas y políticas del mercado.

El vendedor registrado será responsable de garantizar que todas las personas asociadas con su puesto cumplan con las reglas establecidas.

Los vendedores que utilicen carpas deberán asegurarlas adecuadamente con pesos apropiados en todo momento.

Los vendedores asumen toda responsabilidad por cualquier daño, lesión o responsabilidad derivada de su puesto, productos, equipos, empleados, ayudantes o representantes.
